Because of these relationships, Old Port Realty is able to stay informed on how stores are performing, negotiate lease extensions, identify the best performing stores, all which is critical to evaluating the risk in these opportunities. The Gendron’s have spent decades as Reps for these Fortune 500 Companies.

We have compiled a complete inventory of owners of 5,000 potential Pharmacies in the Market covering 7 New England States and We currently own Drug stores in all 7 States. We source properties on our own, along with Strong Brokerage relationships bringing us opportunities before they hit the market. Because of these relationships we are seeing almost every deal which gives us a deep sample size to gauge the market.

Drug Store Selection process

Our team checks off 4 basic criteria before pursuing a successful acquisition.

1. Price point, is it an affordable location that the Brand can easily afford, Most of our locations are lower rent deals.
2. Volume of prescription sales must be in the top 20% of all their locations.
3. Location; must be a location that can’t be replaced.
4. Rent relative to the market. Knowing how to determine these 4 basic criteria is what elevates Old Port Realty above other acquisition firms.
